The Renault Twizy is now available for European customers to reserve online and will cost from €6,990 for an entry-level Urban version plus €45 a month to lease the batteries.
This price is for Renault Twizy 45 which is powered by a five-horsepower motor and which can be driven without a driving license in certain countries.
The 17hp Renault Twizy comes in two trim levels, Urban and Technic costing €7,690 and €8,490, respectively, plus €49 a month to lease the batteries.
Renault says the Twizy is more agile than a car. The Renault Twizy has a range of 62 miles (100km) with a top speed of 50mph (80km/h).
Standard features on the Twizy Urban include TEP water resistant upholstery, driver’s airbag, 4-point front seat-belt,3-point rear seat-belt, child seat compatible rear seat (under 15kg), regenerative braking system with 4 disc brakes, econometer, range and ‘Eco driving’ gauge, two gloveboxes (one lockable), 31-liter lockable storage under rear seat, and 55-litre lockable rear storage achieved by turning rear seat over.
On the other hand, the Twizy Technic adds ‘carbon fiber’ graphics, ‘diamond black’ alloy wheels, metallic paint – black or white, and TEP water resistant upholstery with driver’s seat in white. Options include scissors doors with translucent lower half and transparent roof.
