These come at no additional cost to those using the car parks. While they are not Tesla Superchargers, the high-powered wall chargers are capable of comprising around 100 km (62 miles) of range per hour of charging, but that can vary contingent on the car park’s electricity load.

Secure Parking presently operates over 450 car parks all through the nation, comprising in Perth, Adelaide and Hobart where Tesla presently does not have any charging options accessible. While there are no chargers in those cities yet, the firm has confirmed that they are planning a national rollout all through additional sites.

The alliance is a big win for Tesla who is in the middle of their national launch of Superchargers which can charge a Model S completely in about 40 minutes.

By the end of next year, Tesla has stated that they plan to have their Supercharger network capable of permitting owners to drive from Melbourne to Brisbane without fear of ending of range.
